10 Things to Love about the ZAP Car

ZAP is an electric vehicle manufacturer based in California. The company's name stands for Zero Air Pollution (ZAP). They call the cars they make "ZAP cars". The cars are spartan, when it comes to creature comforts, but people who choose them are choosing to step out of the lap of luxury, and into a reality that thinks about Earth's future. What's there to love about the ZAP car? See below.

1. Gas Free Car
The ZAP car is an electric car, not a hybrid. It runs on an electric motor driven by battery power. You charge it up at night, and get a local-commuter type of range out of it in the morning.

2. Oil Free Car
With no internal combustion engine, the ZAP electric car needs no oil. When you drive a ZAP car, or any electric car, worry over oil prices becomes a thing of the past.

3. Pollution Free Car
As an electric car, the ZAP car needs no tailpipe. Why? There is no exhaust! This is a pollution free car. Even if you get your electricity from conventional means (like coal, or oil burning power plants), the ZAP car is still 98% pollution free.
